Moroccan Darija AI Translator · Chrome Extension

Short version: We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Text you select is sent to an AI service only to translate it and is never stored on any server.

1. What data is processed

When you use DarijaLens to translate or summarize text, the selected text is temporarily sent to our translation service to generate a response. This text is:

Processed in real time to produce a translation or summary
Never stored on any server after the response is returned
Never used for training AI models
Never sold or shared with third parties

2. Data stored locally on your device

The following data is stored only in your browser using Chrome's local storage. It never leaves your device:

Words and translations you save to your Vocabulary
Your preferred output language
Theme preference (light / dark)
Translation count and learning streak
Auto-translate preference

You can delete all this data at any time from the extension's Settings page.

3. Third-party AI service

Translations are powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. Text you select is forwarded to Anthropic's API via a secure proxy server. Anthropic's own privacy policy applies to the processing of this text.

Security: All communication between the extension and the translation service uses HTTPS encryption. Your text is never transmitted in plain text.

4. No analytics or tracking

DarijaLens does not use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking tools. We do not know who you are, what websites you visit, or how often you use the extension.

5. No account required

DarijaLens requires no account, email address, or any form of registration. There is no login and no user profile.

6. Children's privacy

DarijaLens does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The extension does not collect personal information from any user.

7. Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
